2025 Annual Report

Updated: 3 days ago

Dear members,

This year marks our club’s third year, and it’s been really heartening to reflect on how much we’ve grown together.

Member attendance has remained strong and has continued to increase over the past year. Weekly training sessions regularly attract 30+ participants, with consistent engagement across all levels. I’ve been especially pleased to see the effort and commitment shown by members at every stage of their kyudo journey.

The club has also demonstrated fantastic participation in events. This year, 6 members attended the 10th AO Seminar in Nagoya, 10 members took part in the Australian National Taikai & Seminar, 17 members competed in the VKA State Taikai, 33 attended the VKA State Seminar, and 3 members proudly represented Australia at the AO Gathering. OKM members are often and consistently making up a large proportion of the participants at these kinds of events, and I really believe this is something for us to be proud of.

Seeing our members actively engaging with the wider kyudo community, both interstate and internationally, consistently stands out and genuinely makes me very happy. These friendships and connections are incredibly valuable, and they reflect a strong sense of solidarity and support within our broader Kyudo community. I hope our members enjoy catching up with Kyudo friends at events as much as I do, and I encourage everyone to keep showing up, keep pitching in, and keep the good vibes rolling!

Rachel Fisher

President, OKM
